………is a little fishing village with a population of 300 that has not yet been fully discovered but is on its way! It is a major surfing area and has Hawaiian size waves, apparently, but I haven’t been to Hawaii so I can’t argue with the guidebook. Our accommodation is the best yet, Sol y Mar, and are little cabins with hammocks hanging outside with a great view of the ocean. It’s owned by a Portuguese man, Luis, who came 20 years ago, stayed and developed this over time……..and still misses Faro, his home in Portugal.
